Vera Wang proving to be Fashion Goals even at 70 years old

Vera Wang's latest #StayAtHome OOTDs on Instagram are lit.

Apart from working from home and designing dreamy bridal gowns, renowned fashion designer Vera Wang has been taking this quarantine time to flex some seriously fashionable OOTDs. With a closet full of clothes and extra time on her hands, we don't see why not!

As the first Monday of May commenced without the annual Met Gala this year due to its postponement because of COVID-19, Vera Wang took it upon herself to dress up anyway. The American designer wore a bright orange dress of her own creation. For maximum colour contrast, she paired the ball gown with black ankle booties and matching satin shorts which was visibly seen with the gown's high-low hem. Age is truly just a number. This 70-year old flawlessly pulled off the punk rock ensemble for her self-made '#StayHome Backyard Ball'.

For accessories, she complemented the deep V-neckline with a heavy gold chain necklace from Chanel. However, the perfect finishing touch was the fabric face mask that matched the hue of the dress.

The striking orange look wasn't the only head-turning ensemble that has graced her feed. Take a look at this fresh OOTD. This boomer is giving hypebaes a run for their money in a monogrammed Fendi T-shirt, neon yellow snakeprint windbreaker and bandana. She gave the streetwear style a polished finish with sleek, closed-toe pumps from Vetements.

This style chameleon can do no wrong with her quirky mix of aesthetics. She loves a good "high low" OOTD and says she "loves athleisure with anything". Below, athleisure meets couture, as she paired Adidas joggers and a sporty white tank with a feathered crop top in the most refreshing shade of azure, and pointy white pumps from Balenciaga.

Time for some boho chic goodness! The 7o-year old threw it back a couple decades with a '60s-inspired look that's giving us serious Bo Derek vibes. She edged up a feminine micro-floral printed dress with snake print booties, and accessorised with a solid-coloured bandana as the neutral, and large aviator frames.

To be this cool and possess this much swag at 70 years old, one must wonder what the fashion designer was like back in the day. Thankfully, she shared a real-life throwback to 1978 to illustrate. Below, a 29-year old Vera Wang at the legendary Studio 54 in New York, celebrating Elizabeth Taylor's birthday.

Fun fact: This photograph was taken by the late fashion photographer Bill Cunningham! Minimal makeup, natural hair, dancing the night away in Studio 54 at Elizabeth Taylor's party, and spotted by one of fashion's most respected photographers? Vera Wang had it going in 1978, and judging from her recent 2020 OOTDs, she's still got it.
